It should gets better this week, since the RAIN is finally coming,

  3. Hi Ruby! We are so so upset at what has happened in California, and how it has affected so many people and creatures. I hope that when the rains come it marks the end of a bad spell that has hit your state. Stay well and out of the smoke if you can.

  8. Gail's last two planned vacations in NW USA have been badly disrupted by wildfire smoke. Nothing to compare with those poor folk who have lost their home and even their lives , but enough to make her very aware of how horrid it is to be breathing smoky air all the time.

  13. You are looking pretty happy today (yesterday), Ruby. But we know you are sad about all those fires. We are too. So much loss for so many. We think of them every day, and especially those who are still unaccounted for. We hope they are all actually safe somewhere and just don't know someone is looking for them. We are hoping for rain for California to put out those fires. Sorry about the air quality - time to wear those masks. Lightning says he would wear a mask over his cone any day.

  21. Just letting you know it is not a full postal strike in Canada. It is a rotating one that is causing some delays. Don't worry if the gift is late. We know this is how it is.
