Holiday Traditions by Ruby

in sharing with all of Blogville my

Howliday Traditions

Okays, so we don't have many, we are a simple family

One Tradition is

Ma putting antlers, hats, and various decorations on my head
(not my fav, BTW....just sayin')

Butts, some of my FAVORITE traditions is opening my pressies!!!!

I do LOVES the papers!

Nows, as most of you knows,

Cooking isn't one of Ma's best qualities.

Butts, she does do the Holiday meals pretty good

This is her Apricot Glazed Ham

(okays, I wouldn't knows...she never lets me have any!)

Butts, I do gets a taste of some potatoes and fixin's

That's our Holiday Traditions ~ nothin' fancy or big

It's ours, and what matters is that we're togethers.

I hopes everyone has a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa

If you don't celebrate any of these,

I wish you love and happiness and joy.

And no more of THIS for another year!

  1. Such wonderful traditions,,,,i wish upon a star,, that i was there.

  2. But you do look oh so cute in your antlers Ruby, great traditions Ruby,xx Speedy

  3. You get subjected to all the Christmas headgear too, Ruby. I sure hope that Santa is taking notice of our pain.
That ham sure does look yummy!

  4. Happy holidays dear Ruby! Are eggnog margaritas a thing? 😜

  5. Happy Holidays, Ruby, and to your Ma as well!

  6. Hari OM
I's all fur da simplicity, Rubes, cuz it means the focus is on just 'being' and that is wonderfurs. Only two more sleeps till you can revel in wrapping!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  7. Eating sounds like a great tradition to us. Sorry you had to wear the weird headgear. We didn't do it this year but we know it's around here somewhere just waiting. Happy holidays from all of us.

  8. Ruby it is terrible that Ma is such a meanie Ebenezer Scrooge not allowing you even one bite of the Apricot Glazed Ham even after you allow her to squeeze your brain with those head thing a ma jigs. You need extra presents!
    Happy Holidays
    Sweet William The Scot

  9. I love to unwrap presents too! And we're all drooling over that ham! Have a Happy Christmas!

  10. There are a couple of dachshunds I know that think you're Ruby the Snowfreak.

  11. Mom LOVES all things apricot!!! She puts apricot marmalade on her morning toast. We have to agree about the headgear tradition - did you ever stop to think how that tradition doesn't seem to end with Christmas???? Those silly headpieces keep popping up all year long.

    Merry Christmas.

Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber

  12. We have very a very simple Christmas, too. Luckily, we miss out on 'decorating the dogs'. That ham looks wonderful...we think you should get a sliver....

  13. BaaaaaWaaaah.... Kismet's Comment. Wonder WHO those Dachshunds might be?
We love your traditions.. butt we think you should DEMAND some HAM.

  14. Wow Boo, you got MEAT?? Really?? We never get meats at our house!!! We love your traditions . . . 'cept for the antlers . . .
