Flower Friday by Ruby

I am joinin' the DB BOYZ, Arty and Jakey   for

FLOWER FRIDAY!

Okays, so this Flower Friday  I needs to

TAKE YOU WAAAAAAY BACK IN TIME....

Back to MAY  ☺

This is what happened.....

SUPPOSEDLY!

Ma had ordered a couple of new HIBISCUS plants through the mail.

They came as, what plant peeps call, 'BARE ROOT'.

It looked like a nice chew stick.

Ma planted it.   watered it.  waited.

And to everyone's surprise........

GREW!
green arrow shows what it looked like when Ma planted it

Ma was REAL happy, and loved her new plants.

I loved them too....

WHAT?!    I don't see any CHEWED LEAVES......

Ma's got NO PROOF!
DIRT???  I don't see any DIRT!  Those are just 'low lights' in my furs
Terrierious PlantEaterous   STRIKES AGAIN! hehehehe

Anyhu......

MY POINT is

Lookie what they looked like in JULY
I'd say I did a FABulous job of PRUNING!

Butt, waits ~ lookie what happened a few weeks ago...
FLOWERS!!
Lookie how BIG they are!  They are FIVE INCHES across!
This is the WHITE one.  It kinda wilted from the heat wave we had last week

So, I thinks Ma should

THANK ME

for my gardening skills!

(Heaven knows SHE'S got none.....hehehehe)

pees: as you can see, the plants are now behind the pet fence.
better them than me....☺

  1. You left some of the plant to grow back. You'd make a terrible rabbit.

  5. What is it with peeps, they just don't appreciate good help. We have cut down Mom's garden time by helping with the pruning and Dad has almost no mowing to do anymore. We took care of all that pesky grass in the back yard.

  6. Yay Ruby of course all the tender lover and (chew) attention you gave them is what brought them to life and made them bloom in that gorgeous shade of RED!!
Before long ma will be hiring out your services and making you pay rent.

    REMINDER:
I need a photo of you for my Blanket Volleyball game...by Monday 9/18...that is if you want to play. I know you will be busy with the margarita truck too

  12. You did a wonderfur job of pruning the trees! I love the flowers. It's a good thing they are kept in a fence so you aren't tempted to pick a flower for your fiance'
