Cinco de Mayo

Feliz cinco de mayo todo el mundo!
(Happy 5th of May to everyone!)

Oh puppers and kittehs,  you knows I don't need a reason  to break out the

MARGARITAS!!!

Butts today is especially  funs

It's  CINCO de MAYO!

It is NOT Mexico’s Independence Day:

That's a common misconception. Mexico celebrates its independence day on September 16, the date in 1810 Father Miguel Hidalgo issued his "Grito de Dolores," or famous call to arms to overthrow the Spanish.

It celebrates a most unlikely victory:

In May of 1862, a powerful French army was in Mexico, fighting its way to Mexico City, where they hoped to force the Mexican government to honor some previous debts. The French army was well-armed, well-disciplined and was efficiently destroying all resistance on its march to the capital. Outside of the town of Puebla, however, a most unlikely thing happened: Mexican soldiers, most of them with no training and poor equipment, defeated the French. The Battle of Puebla is remembered every May fifth.

Well,  whatevers.....

all I cares abouts is Ma lets me drink

MARGARITAS

all day long!!!

WooooHoooo!!!!!

Oh, and I gets fish tacos,  chicken tacos, beef tacos, and all kinds of yummy foodables!

Okays, so I hopes you all will join me for a

MARGARITA

and some tacos and enchiladas and tamales and.....

PAWTY!!!

(does anyone else see Puddles swingin' from the pinata, or is that just me????)

Wow, you look adorable in your sombrero! Drinks all around and I liked that history info too. It's always important to remember the real story and celebrate the right meanings. Gee, I'll take any taco that's heavy on the meat and cheese, but lite on the veggies. BOL :)

  20. Mom and Dad usually celebrate because they met in Mexico and we hoped Mom would make more enchiladas for us, but Fudge had to go to the hospital today so we're celebrating next week instead.
