A Little Tale

Puppers and kittehs,  grab a chewie and a bowl of water, and get ready for a little tale.....

Now, it happened on our morning walkie. Ma doesn't bring her camera because she says she needs four hands  because she forgots.  So,  I drew some purty pictures to show you whats happened.....

Here we are on our walkie....everything is goin' just peachy...

Then I did my quarter pound poopies....

When Ma went to pick up my poops, I saw an evil tree rat that needs some deadin'  somethin'.   (Now, Ma should know better. She's been walkin' reactive doggies all her life, and she knows better than to try and pick up poopies without stepping on the leash first!....just sayin'..)

Well, a evil tree rat squirrel ran across the street, and I lunged after it ~

This is where this goes sideways....Ma was bendin' over ready to pick up my quarter pound business I pulled her DOWN!

And her hand went SPLAT right in my poopies!!!!  BOL BOL BOL

Now, this wasn't the furst times Ma's had poopies on her hands, so I don't know what all the Hoopla was abouts!!

She was yellin' at me to stop! Stay! and LOTS of HBO words I've never heards befores....

She was gaggin' and carrying on like you wouldn't believes! Wuss.

Luckily, Ma carries some wet wipes with hers so she was able to gets most of the poopie off her hand....most.  We have never walked so fast in my life back to the house!!

BOL!!   The moral of this little tale is:

If you walk a reactive doggie, don't pick up the poopie without steppin' on the leash FIRST!!!

                                              THE END

  3. Ha ha, that's a great story, Ruby. Humans just don't appreciate the delight of poop. It looks, smells and tastes so great. When our Dad steps in it, he goes ballistic. Silly humans.

  11. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!! Best story EVER!!!

Your mom's reaction was probably similar to mine when one time the poop bag had a tiny hole in it and I got a tiny piece of poo on my finger - it was so gross!! I used several pine needles to try and combat the smell cause I didn't have any wipes.

Also, your mom may want to really think about hooking your leash to her belt loop with a carabiner. At least then she'll be centered enough you can't pull her off her feet. Shame on you Ruby (hehehehe). Also, your drawings were EXCELLENT! The only thing that could have made this better was if I had actually witnessed it myself! BAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

  13. Well, your mom would probably rather go home and wash her hands than have to rush you to the vet if you GOT HIT BY A CAR!!!

Bart, Ruby and Otto's mom (who has no sense of humor today for dog-antics because Otto is testing her last nerve. Just sayin'. God thing he's cute. And smart.)

  22. Not a good thing to do, Ruby, pulling on your Mom over a silly squirrel. Stella did that to me, but I wound up in a snowbank, on my back and needed help to get up. No poopies in this one but if there had been, Stella would have been in bigger trouble.

  27. Ha ha ha! Great story, Ruby! Around here we don't call that "reactive," we call it being proactive. You have to be ever vigilant against evil tree rat invaders! Wrigs doesn't understand what the big deal is about falling in poop, but I'm with your Ma on this one. I would not be too happy about having poopie hands.

  28. Bwah-ha ha ha! We laugh because we have had similar events. Stanzie likes to kick her poop with her back legs...once dad bent down to pick it up and he got poop kicked in his face....BOL!!

  29. Rubes, I have missed you! First thank you for the wonderful St. Pats card, it made me so happy. I watched it over and over. Now about your Mommy, well all I can say is I hope she learned her lesson. Did you get the squirrel??? You were just doing what comes naturally, the pooping and the chasing. Good job my sweet pal. We need to constantly work on training them.
